Hello and welcome to my Beginner VFX course.

My name is Jacob and I'm a Visual Effects Artist, content creator, and 3D generalist. I currently work full time in the film and advertising industry having worked with clients such as Nvidia, Overstock, and L'Oréal throughout my career. I’ve used Blender and After Effects for about 6 years now, so I hope to bring my knowledge and experience to you throughout this course.

In this course I wanted to focus on using accessible programs such as Blender and After Effects aso that you can easily learn visual effects right from the comfort of your home. This course is designed for beginner level artists, however, some knowledge of Blender and After Effects helps. We will be learning concepts such as the basics of blender, Camera tracking, asset handling, Matching lighting, Animation, Multi-pass rendering, compositing, and color correction. 

We will be covering 1 Full Visual effects shot going over every single detail of the entire process. For this course, I wanted to take our time in learning the concepts and explaining everything in detail so that we can apply these concepts to your own work instead of just blindly following along. This is based on my own workflow I use in the industry so I’ll be going over some things to watch out for as well as how you can get started in your career. Of course all of the assets and footage I use will be provided for you to follow along.
